Special containment procedures:As SCP-3272 is a lethal biohazard capable of eradicating all life on earth, SCP-3272 must be locked behind 3 steel safety doors underground in the remote island of [REDACTED] in a 5x5x5 meter cell. SCP-3272 must be contained in a sphere with a diameter of 1 meter, composed of carbon fiber and glass with a hatch located on the northern hemisphere composed of heat-treated steel. The sphere that contains SCP-3272 is now referred to as SCP-3272-1, and is not to be destroyed and/or taken out of the cell. Routine checks once a week for any corrosion around the cell door and around SCP-3272-1 is necessary.

Description: SCP-3272 is a complex virus, that has no known cure, and will randomly mutate. Characteristics of the disease vary, from 100% lethality, 100% infection rate, and no two strands are alike. Only 5 different strains of the disease are known to science to have definite symptoms and documented occurrences of outbreaks. Unlike most viruses, a large amount of the virus in one area will result in a liquid forming that has the same consistency as blood. The liquid, if ingested, will experience symptoms that vary depending on the strand of the disease. After 2 days, the virus will attack the central nervous system, and clog the respiratory system, causing the lungs to go into acute respiratory failure. The virus will travel up the nervous system and will attack the brain, and the virus will cause the victim to go into a coma, and death within 2 hours.

Addendum 3272-01: SCP-3272-1 now seems to be able to float in midair. Further testing is needed to discover by what method this is achieved.
